Everything Must Go!

Hello Everyone!

Further to an Instagram post I put up today... I wanted to share a little nugget of fantastic info I listened to this morning.

Anyone who loves a shopping bargain will love this and hopefully resonate ;)

I listen to a variety of YouTube channels and podcasts on a daily basis. Just while I'm pottering through completing my tasks/routines.

One person I came across today whilst listening to one of my favourites Evan Carmichael (@evancarmichael or on https://www.youtube.com/user/ModelingTheMasters)

Was Sarah Jakes Roberts (Pastor). Now we all know, I am NOT a religious person, but this one clip just really stuck with my brain. It made so much sense! So I'm going to link it below and also give you the main part of the story that really made me think GIRRRLLLL you're so right!

Video is linked below, its worth listening to the whole damn thing but if you really want to listen to this section its at about 14:41...

Anyway!

She speaks of a saying "everything must go" and uses this as an analogy of a store having everything on SALE. We all know those old TV adds! EVERYTHING MUST GO! haha

She discussing hearing/seeing those words and getting excited as this meant things were cheaper, she was pretty much "saving" money during these times.

Sarah then moves onto, since now becoming a business owner she realises that they use the words like "sale" and "discounted" and "everything must go"... It's because they have new inventory coming in. So they have to GET RID of the things that are no longer profitable, to make room for the things that are MORE profitable to take their place.

She then states Imagine if we treated this idea, the same way we treat life. The small statement of "everything must go" that is no longer profitable in our lives, so we make room for things that ARE profitable to ourselves.

It's a simple and funny way of looking at how we need to let go of the things that do not serve us in a positive way. Somethings decrease our value, affect our worth.

When was the last time you took inventory on your life? When did you sort out what is adding value and profitability to your life and what isn't?

This spring, maybe do some "inner" spring cleaning, let go of the things holding you back, weighing you down. So you can make room for the things that will ultimately make you a better you.

The choice is yours for what room you leave on YOUR shelf, and what YOU choose to clear out!
